The foundation of well-being begins with your feet. This thought inspired the creation of the Xsensible Stretchwalker, a modern shoe with Japanese roots. The Stretchwalker is based on the ancient 'Ippon-ba geta', a traditional wooden sandal with a unique balance block under the heel. This supports your natural posture and relieves your joints.

Together with designer Tetsuya Nosaka, we have translated this traditional technique into a contemporary design. Thanks to the revolutionary sole technology with the balance block in the middle, you experience ultimate stability and balance, without painful or tired feet. This proven method is implemented in every Xsensible shoe.

The sole features

Each sole from Xsensible is composed of soft EVA layers with a reinforced balance block in the middle. This allows you to unroll your foot effortlessly and smoothly. The EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) material not only provides comfort but also excellent cushioning. This design guarantees a controlled, natural rolling motion with every step in a Xsensible shoe. The balance point combined with the perfect cushioning, ensures optimal pressure distribution of the foot. This prevents pressure points and reduces stress on the joints.

The Original - Width GX

Also known as the Citywalker, this shoe prominently displays Xsensible's signature balance block. With the narrowest tread of all Xsensible models, this sole challenges you to make subtle compensating movements while walking. This also promotes the natural gait of your foot and healthy posture. The extra cushioning in the sole provides a soft, comfortable landing with every step.

Citywalker 2.0 - Width H, HX

Citywalker 2.0 is ideal for wide feet, especially when combined with our unique stretch leather. The wide tread provides extra stability and support, especially on uneven or slippery surfaces. This makes the Citywalker 2.0 perfect for everyday use in all activities. The iconic balance pad keeps you continuously balanced, while the cushioning ensures optimal comfort.

Hiking collection - Width H

The Hiking sole is made for adventure! With a sturdy tread, it offers maximum grip on any surface, whether you're walking on wet grass or rocky terrain. Thanks to Dry-X technology, all shoes with this sole are water-repellent and breathable, keeping your feet dry and comfortable. The Hiking sole delivers the ideal blend of stability, grip and comfort for all your outdoor adventures.

SWX Collection - Width H, HX

The SWX sole is known for its maximum cushioning and dynamic rolling motion. The torsion reinforcement prevents unwanted rotation of the foot, preventing injury and fatigue. This sole combines a soft, smooth running experience with the necessary support, ideal for those looking for comfort combined with protection.

Next Generation collection - Width G, GX, H, HX

The Next Generation sole also offers a wide tread and is therefore suitable for almost all feet, from medium to extra wide. With this sole, you will enjoy top cushioning and a smooth gait with every step. The sole is designed to provide both support and flexibility, ensuring a natural walking motion. The balance block is visually less visible, but still actively contributes to your stability.

The Next Innovation sole sets a new standard in comfort and balance. Thanks to the innovative DIP® technology, this sole offers unparalleled cushioning as well as balanced support. The foam layer in the midsole provides superb walking comfort, even after hours of use. Each step feels natural and balanced, so you are always in control.

Xsensible shoes are very popular with anyone whose job requires them to stand and/or walk a lot. Also, our comfortable shoes are recommended by podiatrists. In 2020, we were rated 8.8 by 'The Test Panel'. As many as 88% of the testers rated Xsensible with an 8 or higher. In addition, in 2023 we received a Golden Shoe for the third time. This makes us particularly proud.
