‘Hiking shoes need to offer the perfect blend of form and function. And that’s what Xsensible balance technology is all about. Just like our other shoes, the Stretchwalker hiking shoe is inspired by the balance principle inherent in the traditional Japanese wooden sandal. This guarantees an optimal walking experience and contributes to a better posture. And from now on, it delivers even better performance on uneven terrain. Hiking shoes mainly need to feel robust, offer grip and ensure sufficient protection from poor weather.
To begin with the last item on the list, this is why we have developed Dry-X waterproof technology. This technology consists of a waterproof elastic membrane made from polyester, which we incorporate in the lining and in other vulnerable parts of the shoe.
In addition, all seams are sealed and we have intensively hydrated the leather, laces and other fabric elements, which means that for a prolonged period they will not absorb water.
The tongue of the shoe is also constructed in such a way that, together with the membrane, it keeps the shoes dry on the inside when you walk through puddles. This ensures that you can take the dog for a walk or go for a long wander in the forest or on the beach without worrying about your footwear.
